Honestly, every time I see the words “security” next to cross-chain bridges, I automatically put a big question mark on it. IBC looks pretty elegant, but think about it carefully: for just one cross-chain transfer, you already have enough components you need to trust to count for a while—validator set, light clients, relayers, and the contract implementation… Basically, as long as any one link goes bad, the money could just disappear. All that recent anxiety about unlocked sell pressure has been piling up in my head. No matter whether it’s going up or down, it doesn’t exactly make me feel at ease. I’m not chasing it either—cost comes first. I’ll just keep my head down and play it safe for now.
