The mempool is clearly jammed, yet my side’s few RPCs are still reporting “low congestion” at a slow, easy pace. To put it plainly, on-chain information is like listening to the radio: what you hear is always the “news” from a few seconds ago. By the time you actually make a move to front-run, others are already nearly a block ahead of you.

Lately, hardware wallets have been out of stock everywhere. I guess it’s during a period of elevated phishing—everyone’s finally getting panicky. But honestly, just buying a hardware wallet isn’t enough. If the node data source isn’t clean, then the “confirmed” view you’re seeing might just be a delayed version. Anyway, I’m going to keep several RPCs running and rotate between them—at least that makes me feel more secure.
