Sigh, lately I’ve been pretty annoyed by on-chain data—it keeps lagging me all the time. Sometimes I open an RWA project, thinking I’ll compare U.S. Treasury yield products with on-chain yields, but Subgraph just keeps spinning, and it takes forever to load. In plain terms, the indexer can’t keep up with RPC rate limits; once the node gets congested, the data stalls. It’s not a big problem, but it’s kind of depressing— I already planned to do a proper comparison, and then these technical details slow down my rhythm.
But thinking about it, it’s normal. On-chain data volumes keep growing, the indexer has too much to process, and the free RPC quota is limited—rate limiting is pretty common. I personally sometimes switch to another RPC node, or just wait until after peak hours to check. Anyway, the data won’t disappear—it’s just slower. It’s not to the point where it’s unusable, but it is definitely annoying. I hope it can be optimized to run more smoothly in the future; otherwise, getting stuck every time really takes a toll on my mindset.
