From the Iran nuclear deal to the memo now, America’s ever-changing playbook has long been seen through. Iran’s decision to pause its commitments this time is both a protest and a bargaining chip, but in the Middle East chess game nobody can afford to lose. Both sides should probably return to the negotiating table and stop the situation from continuing to deteriorate.
