BTC and ETH attracted inflows on the same day, which is more meaningful than a single product turning profitable on its own.

Because this shows that traditional capital is not only treating BTC as a defensive asset, but is beginning to rebuild overall mainstream crypto positions. BTC is responsible for absorbing large allocations, while ETH reflects that funds are willing to further increase their risk exposure.
Buying only BTC could just be a hedge-style bargain hunt.
When BTC and ETH flow in at the same time, it looks more like risk appetite is starting to recover.
The real confirmation is not that they pulled in $168 million in a single day.
Instead, it’s whether, during the next pullback, the ETF buy-side demand on both sides can continue to absorb.

ETF inflows at the same time are definitely a positive signal, indicating that institutions are no longer treating BTC only as a safe haven, but are willing to allocate to ETH in pursuit of higher returns. However, the key still is whether they can continue to hold up during a pullback—don’t panic and redeem at the first dip.

This logic is quite clear: BTC and ETH attracted inflows on the same day, reflecting a shift in capital from defense to offense. However, one thing is worth noting: the current inflow amount is still small relative to total market cap, and macro factors (such as expectations of Fed rate cuts) may be driving it. To truly confirm a repaired risk appetite, we need to see consecutive weeks of net capital inflows, not a single day’s data. Meanwhile, a sharp surge in TSMC’s earnings is positive for tech stocks, but the correlation between crypto and traditional tech has been weakening. How long this wave of inflows can last remains to be seen. Still, the “can buy-the-dip orders hold during a pullback” point mentioned by the author is indeed a key test: if next week Bitcoin pulls back to below 60k and ETH can still have net ETF inflows, then that would be the real turning point.
