Just saw a new L2 incentive announcement, and the group chat instantly blew up—tons of people were yelling, “Go for it” and “Mine, then sell for profit.” Honestly, I almost joined in, but with my hand on the mouse I suddenly remembered the last time I got sandwiched: the slippage wasn’t set properly, gas was high, and in the end an MEV bot picked it up for a bargain. I’ve learned my lesson now—I checked the route first, found the pool liquidity was painfully shallow, and shut it down immediately. No matter how loud the KOLs shout, it’s not as reliable as looking at on-chain data yourself. Anyway, the more information there is, the easier it is to act impulsively—so whose fault is this really, the group chat or the KOL? I feel like it’s still my own quick-finger, guilty conscience. That’s it for now—I dodged a bullet.
