Ugh, I just kept refreshing the APY of that XX protocol all night—15%, friends, 15%… My hands feel like they’ve been glued to the mouse. On the one hand, I use a magnifying glass to check whether there are any “surprises” in the contract being open-sourced; on the other, I calculate what that so-called “real annualized” rate is actually subtracting in terms of slippage and redemption fees. Keeping USDC is steady, but I also嫌 it just lies there doing nothing. I go to an aggregator to chase yield, but I’m also scared that one day the protocol will get liquidated on its own—or just vanish. Anyway, looking at all the restaking and shared-security “stacking” that people are doing now, it really gets more and more like building a tower with LEGO bricks… building it layer by layer, stacking it higher and higher, but who knows what ghost contract is hiding under which brick? At 2 a.m., staring at that flickering “confirm” key on the panel, and I chickened out… Seriously, yeah, anxiety is anxiety—I’ve seen my share of crashes—but there’s only one life, 😂
