The recent uproar over royalties has been pretty intense. Platforms shut them down across the board, and creators immediately lose a big chunk of their income. But honestly, the royalties on the secondary market probably couldn’t support anyone in the first place—especially now that the airdrop season is over. The task platforms are cracking down on sybils like crazy, and the points-based system has turned incentive-abusing “farmers” into the same kind of frenzy as clocking in for work. I actually think the real thing to pay attention to isn’t how much royalty gets extracted, but whether there’s enough liquidity—because if slippage is high, even the fees can wipe out your profits. So what do royalties even matter? Anyway, since I’m not drawing, I’ll just quietly watch them argue.
