A person who trades crypto wants to return to normal life, but it’s not that easy.

I have a friend. When he first got into the crypto world, he only tried it out as a test, playing with futures contracts. As it turned out, his luck was good—within two days, he turned 1500 USDT into 80k USDT.
At that moment, he truly felt like he had found a shortcut to make money, believing that financial freedom was just one step away.
But the real problems started right from then.
Later, he began to go heavy on positions, all-in, and hold losses to the end—always thinking he could make another round of gains. In the end, his account kept shrinking from 80k down to just a few hundred USDT.
At this point, he should have stopped. But he couldn’t.
The first thing he did every day after waking up was check the market, eating with charts on screen and staring at the K-line. Before sleeping, he was still studying price action. He’d say, “I won’t touch contracts anymore,” but once there was any fluctuation, he still couldn’t resist rushing in.
In the end, it’s not that he’s that greedy. After tasting the feeling of “fast money,” the brain is easily hijacked by this kind of stimulation.
The biggest lure of futures contracts is that they can amplify profits in a very short time—but they amplify losses just as much. If you’re wrong on direction just once, profits from months or even years can vanish instantly.
Compared with stocks, the crypto market is far more volatile—price moves of dozens of points up and down within a single day are very common. This rapid feedback easily creates an illusion: if I do it again, I can break even.
But reality is often that before you even get the chance to turn things around, the market has already liquidated your account.
Many people ultimately lose not because of their technical skills, but because of their timing.
The more you want to get back to even, the more impulsive you become; the more impulsive you are, the faster you lose.
Remember one line: the market won’t turn back because you’re unwilling to accept it, and it won’t show mercy because you’re stubborn.
Real maturity in trading isn’t about rushing in every time. It’s knowing when to stop and when to be patient and wait for opportunities. Only by controlling yourself first can you go further in this market.
