I just crashed on some protocol—luckily it was only a small amount of money to test the waters. Late at night I couldn’t sleep, and when it hit me, I revoked all of the authorized amounts I’d granted. Finally, I could rest easy and sleep in peace.

Honestly, a lot of people never check which contracts they’ve authorized. I was the same at first—I thought as long as I didn’t touch those shady “wildcard” protocols, I’d be fine. Then one time I saw a long-established project get targeted by hackers, and that’s when I realized the permissions it had in its hands were actually enough to move my entire wallet away. That feeling was like having a bomb buried in your vegetable garden—only it hadn’t gone off yet.

Anyway, before bed I always do three things: shut off authorizations, unplug the network cable (not literally), and check whether you missed any token airdrop phishing links.

Recently everyone’s been talking about expectations for interest-rate cuts, and money flows have been more active for sure. But the hotter the market gets, the more you need to watch authorizations closely—when price action heats up, phishing links show up right along with it. Some projects go up, and you just happen to claim a “reward,” handing over permissions without even realizing it. Then the money is like seeds being stolen from your garden—wasted.

I recommend setting a monthly safety check on the 16th (any day works). When you can’t sleep, just go ahead and revoke all those authorizations you don’t use. It may not prevent something from happening, but you’ll sleep better. If you’re a small-cap player, you especially have to treat security as a daily habit.

Let me seriously persuade you: think of it as scheduling regular pest control for your garden—it doesn’t take much, but it works. Anyway, tonight I can still sleep another round, safe and sound.
