I just saw a post saying about on-chain privacy: ordinary people shouldn’t expect absolute anonymity—regulators come over in a compliant way and check, and you’re caught just like that. I mean, isn’t this basically “you think you’re in the shadows, but you’re actually walking around naked”?

To be honest, lately there’s been repeated talk about staking unlocks and the token unlock calendar, and everyone’s focusing on the “sell-pressure anxiety” angle. The thing is, on-chain data is crystal clear—who’s unlocking and who’s moving is basically as transparent as live-stream chat comments. But the question is: have you yourself thought about how this might be used to “watch you”?

Anyway, I think for ordinary people playing on-chain, don’t set expectations too high. Privacy, plain and simple: you either accept “running around naked,” or learn how to hide yourself (for example, changing addresses, using mixers, or using privacy networks). Don’t expect others not to be able to see you, but at least don’t be foolish enough to link all your wallets together.

Finally, the fun of watching is that you’re thinking “compliance is a good thing” while also can’t help wondering—oh, you’re watching me? Can I watch you too? 😂
