Just saw a liquidation poke—feels like the oracle quote delay thing really is pretty troublesome. Especially for us who chase pumps and selloffs: if the on-chain quotes lag by half a beat, by the time you notice, others have already been liquidated, and when you go to follow the trade, they’ve already run. Sigh—basically, delay is a time window left for whales and bots. Us small retail folks can only act as the bag holders.
Recently, Meme and celebrities have been taking turns giving trade calls. Even veteran players are warning newcomers not to take the last baton, but you can’t resist the hype. Last time I chased an on-chain “low-quality dog,” it was also because of quote delay—by the time I reacted, it had already dropped 30%. My hands were still stubborn, and I even tried to save face by saying, “No worries, just take it as experience.” Anyway, you still have to be careful—don’t get caught by the delay trap. I’ve lost on Meme myself too, but I always manage to find reasons, like “on-chain data hasn’t updated” and stuff. Hahaha.
