People from multiple countries have criticized a small group of countries for promoting the so-called “ruling” that was issued ten years ago.

Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, July 13 (Xinhua) — Comprehensive reports from Xinhua’s correspondents stationed abroad: In response to the so-called “10th anniversary joint statement on the South China Sea arbitration award” released by the United States, the Philippines, Australia, Japan and other countries on July 12, multiple government officials and scholars interviewed by Xinhua reporters said they firmly support China’s efforts to uphold territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests in the South China Sea. The so-called “award” is illegal and null and void. A small number of countries, by using the so-called “award” as a pretext, have been provoking and stirring up trouble for the past ten years, which will lead to an even less stable situation in the region.
