I tried it once—I specifically kept staring at an on-chain project that was so hot it felt like it might explode. I watched it go from news that it was stolen from a cross-chain bridge to an oracle quote anomaly, and I managed to hold back the whole time and not move. I just wanted to see how many people would get scared off just because of the three words “wait for confirmation.” And it turned out there really were a lot of people rushing in to bottom-fish, then they held on until the official finally put out a notice saying they were pausing—honestly, it’s pretty ridiculous.

For these hot-spot rotations, to put it bluntly, it’s emotion driving everything. If you follow the run, you’re the one getting sliced. It would be better to just watch the milestones and code merge records—at least that stuff doesn’t lie. Anyway, whenever I run into a breakout moment now, I’ll first figure out whether there’s anything real inside. If there isn’t, then so be it.
