Floating losses and floating gains are really not the same thing at all. When you’re in floating profit, you feel great inside, thinking, “Yeah, it can probably go up a bit more.” When you’re in floating loss, even if it’s only down 5%, lying in bed at night you can’t stop tossing and turning, thinking: Should I cut? Should I add to my position? What’s most annoying is that you keep staring at on-chain addresses—if the big holders haven’t moved, you tell yourself, “I can still hold”; if the whales have left, you get anxious out of your mind. Recently, rate-cut expectations and the U.S. dollar index have been rising together, making the market a complete mess. My L2 and perpetual positions are also trapped, and while I’m saying “the fundamentals are basically fine,” my hands have already opened limit orders. Forget it—anyway, I just can’t bear to sell. I don’t even understand myself.
