Another day of wallet management……When I open my computer, there are seven or eight scattered bits of assets across different chains sitting inside my MetaMask—some are just a few cents, others are dozens of dollars—but I’m unwilling to move any of them, afraid that there might be a run later. Then every time I switch chains, it takes me half a day to check the GAS on the exchange. In the end, I find the fees are actually more expensive than the balance. Anyway, I’ve learned my lesson: I only keep two or three commonly used chains now, and I clean the rest on a regular basis. Either withdraw them to the exchange or swap them out—don’t let your wallet turn into a junk pile.

Lately I’ve been seeing project teams talk about modularity and terms like the DA layer. Developers get really excited, while users look totally confused—like I was back when I first started using Layer2. In any case, as ordinary users, let’s just remember this: don’t get greedy, manage the small amount you have in your wallet, don’t let the narrative lead you astray, and don’t let fragmented assets eat up your time and your fees. In practice, it means organizing things regularly: write down your private keys and seed phrases in a notebook. Don’t wait until you can’t withdraw on the exchange to regret it.
