I almost swiped and clicked an airdrop link just now. Damn—my heart rate shot straight up to 180. Luckily my hands were quick enough to glance at the domain first; it had an extra letter—classic phishing site, no doubt. These days, between Layer 2s, people are always spraying each other about who has higher TPS and lower fees. I mean, even if your chain is faster on-chain, what’s the point if your wallet gets emptied by someone with one grab? I’ve made too many mistakes myself. I once did the thing of saving a screenshot of my seed phrase on my phone—I was so scared that night I couldn’t sleep. Signature approvals are also a minefield; if you casually tap the wrong “approve,” you could end up losing everything. Anyway, every time I slip, I treat it as a lesson at my own expense—keep costs as low as you can; don’t wait until it all goes to zero before crying and doing a post-mortem. Before going to bed, check your approval list once—more useful than watching those mudslinging fights.
