I muted the group and suddenly felt like the world was much quieter. Before, I spent every day scrolling through discussions about DAO votes—lots of people yelling under the banner of “governance.” But if you strip it down, the incentive and power structure hidden in the proposals is simply this: whoever has more tokens has more leverage, and whoever can make more noise gets heard. Some proposals look like they’re just tweaking parameters on the surface, but behind the scenes it’s all about funneling benefits. It’s the same as when funding rates get extreme—community debates are like whether it will flip or pop the bubble: on the surface it’s entertaining to watch, but in reality everyone is betting on who will back down first. After muting, I can actually calmly look at the voting records—code merge logs don’t lie. But in the governance game, it’s all human nature. That’s it for now. I trust code more than empty talk.
