Just took a look around at the Layer 2s comparing TPS and subsidies again—honestly, I’m a bit annoyed. What do these things matter to small retail users? As long as it saves money and time, that’s all that matters.

But later, lying in bed at night and checking my own wallet, I found several contract approvals set to “infinite” amounts. My back suddenly went cold. To put it simply, it’s like a garden gate left unlocked—who knows when a wild boar might wander in. I used to think revoking permissions was a hassle and I didn’t want to pay the gas fees. Turns out later a friend scolded me and I finally behaved.

Anyway, I’ve developed the habit now: every Saturday, spend a few minutes to revoke all token approvals for protocols I don’t use often. I also check whether anyone has secretly added any strange permissions. The cost is only a few cents—far better than waking up in a panic in the middle of the night. I’ve been thinking about planting and harvesting, but if the door wasn’t closed properly, then it’s all for nothing.

Fellow “gardeners,” don’t just focus on the new L2 subsidies—authorization management needs to keep up. Otherwise, if you step into a trap one day, you won’t even have time to cry.
