I just saw people arguing endlessly again over the matter of mixing privacy coins, so I want to talk about the word “wait.” Wait for confirmation, wait for the callback, wait until you’ve figured it out yourself—among these three “waits,” the last one is the hardest to do.

Back to the topic of infinite contract approvals. I’ve seen too many people who approve everything and then forget it—like leaving the lights on before going to bed, thinking it’s fine. But if you leave permissions on-chain, it’s like hanging the keys on the door. One day someone picks them up, and you won’t even know why you’re getting liquidated and wrecked in the middle of the night.

Revoking permissions takes only a few minutes—it’s much easier than waiting for a callback, but people just don’t do it.

To put it plainly: getting yourself to be clear-headed is more useful than waiting for market moves. With the compliance boundaries for privacy coins so blurry right now, once you grant an approval, if something goes wrong with a protocol someday, you won’t even have the “wait” opportunity.

Sleep on it. When you wake up tomorrow, revoke all unnecessary permissions. It’s better than anything else.
