Hey, the gas on the mainnet is really ridiculous. Sometimes even just trying to move my wallet makes my heart hurt. I recently started experimenting with shifting some interactions to L2, and honestly, the experience is much smoother. But I keep worrying: do these L2s truly inherit the mainnet’s security? I’m used to digging through on-chain data, and I found that some L2 sequencer mechanisms are actually pretty subtle. Didn’t people recently keep complaining about MEV and transaction ordering fairness? It feels like retail users are just quietly being harvested. Anyway, for now I do small amounts on L2, and for larger amounts I still go back to the mainnet the old-fashioned way—so it’s a compromise. I just spend a bit more effort tracking fund flows and transaction timing; there’s no shortcut. What about you?
