Just turned off the notifications for a few groups—really can’t take it anymore. Every day, there’s a bunch of people forwarding all kinds of KOL screenshot posts. It’s always “this is about to take off” or “that’s a guaranteed clear-airdrop,” and I end up switching wallets a few hundred times a day just to check my balance. If I think about it calmly, most impulsive trading is driven by these information streams. Especially when you see someone else posting their buys and results—your head heats up and you rush in, only to become the bagholder.
I’ve also been constantly cleaning up my following list. I used to think those big names were “a must-follow,” but after seeing them for a while, I realized they’re mostly either pumping buy orders or just outputting emotions. Unfollowing them actually makes things much quieter.
Lately, I’ve seen a lot of people discussing RWA and U.S. Treasury yields, and those on-chain yield products are being compared to the traditional 4%. Honestly, I’d rather calculate the downside myself and the possibility of unexpected losses than chase after those “high-yield” promotions. Anyway, for now I’m doing this: look at the data first, and then hold back my hands. No matter how many group messages there are, I just treat them as if I didn’t see them.
