When the narrative about parallel sharding came out, the group chat was lively for a while—talk of technical breakthroughs and throughput doubling. I also followed along and skimmed the whitepaper at first, but later I realized that, in the end, what still matters most to me is asset security. No matter how good your on-chain data looks, if you can’t do cross-validation of fund flows and the exit path isn’t clearly written, even the most lively thing is like the reflected light from a mirrored ball—shiny to look at, but it shatters the moment you touch it.

In the past few days, screenshots of stablecoin reserve audits and de-pegging keep circulating in the group—one after another, and the mood spreads faster than technical updates. But if you calm down and think about it, when it comes to de-pegging, on-chain fund-flow data often gives signals minutes earlier than rumors do. If something really goes wrong, it would have been clear in the data long before. Anyway, in my view, it’s more reliable to focus on your own exit path first than to chase the narrative.
