Just came across an address with a dozen-plus tags—“smart money,” “early buyers,” “big whales.” It looks pretty convincing at first glance. But once you click in, most of the funds were transferred out from exchanges just two days ago—so it’s probably a market maker or a project team’s operational address. This kind of “profile,” put simply, means using on-chain data to draw a circle around activity for you, but nobody knows whether there’s a real person in the circle or just a ghost. Lately the funding rate has been wildly extreme. The community has been in an uproar—some are calling for a reversal, others think it’s just bubble-pushing and about to burst. My take? Don’t put too much faith in address profiling to help you predict things—maybe they’ve just changed the packaging and are still unloading. Anyway, what I’m watching more now is the fund flow—especially the unlocks and order book depth—because the exit path is more reliable than any label. That’s it for now. The order book is swinging a bit, so I’m going to keep an eye on it.
