Claude adjusts its subscription strategy under compute pressure, with Fable 5 added to the premium tier and a 50% quota cap
Deep Tide TechFlow news: On July 18, Claude announced that Fable 5 will be formally included in the Max and Team Premium subscription plans starting July 20, and users will receive usage access equivalent to 50% of the full quota. Pro and Team Standard users can still access Fable 5 by using points, and they will receive a one-time $100 quota compensation.
Claude said that because the demand volume after Fable 5 goes live is difficult to accurately predict, it previously adopted a phased rollout strategy and expanded the scope of subscription users’ access multiple times as compute capacity increased. This process introduced uncertainty for some users, so this adjustment is intended to help users more clearly understand the model usage entitlements included in the subscription plans. In the future, it will continue investing in expanding computing capacity and will keep updating Fable 5’s access policy based on capacity conditions.
