Deep Tide TechFlow message: On July 18, according to The New York Times, three sources said that Meta Platforms (META.O) is in talks to rent its own AI data center computing capacity to Anthropic. The two-year cooperation agreement could be worth up to $10 billion. The sources said that Anthropic proposed the cooperation plan in June, and Meta is currently assessing it; the transaction details are still being worked out. Under the plan, Anthropic will pay Meta fees in monthly installments over the two years, and both companies have the right to terminate the agreement early.

The scale of computing capacity procurement Anthropic proposed to Meta this time is only one-third of the contract it signed with SpaceX in May this year. Insiders said the negotiations are still at an early stage and may ultimately not come to fruition. (Jin10)
