Amazon-owned Zoox has recalled its entire fleet of 105 public-road robotaxis after one of its vehicles drove into a smoke-obscured active fire scene. The incident, which occurred on June 20, highlights potential safety issues with autonomous vehicles. No passengers were on board at the time, but the NHTSA recall document indicates that the vehicle may not have adequately responded to emergency scenes with obscured visibility.
