When I was going all in before, lying in bed felt solid—anyway, the money was in there, and up or down was fate. Now, with grids and DCA running, I’m actually even less able to sleep. In the middle of the night I always want to check whether my orders got filled, afraid the bot will punch a hole in my position. Put simply, no matter what strategy you choose, in the end it comes down to how good your sleep is. Grid trading and DCA are for people who are willing to tinker; going all in is for lazy folks—but lazy people often sleep more soundly. Recently I’ve been watching miners’ earnings get hit hard by MEV and ordering issues; retail traders are even complaining that the word “fairness” is basically a joke. Anyway, I’m half-grid, half-all-in for now. If I control my position sizing properly, I can sleep even if the sky falls. That’s it for now.
