Mars Finance news: On July 17, the new-generation Doubao phone adjusted its cooperation model with major super apps such as Alibaba and Tencent. It will not read the screen after user authorization, and will simulate clicks and operate apps like a person (the so-called GUI technology). Only if these apps themselves provide MCP services—opening certain data and allowing control—can the Doubao phone be connected to MCP. A person close to the Doubao phone said the inventory for the new-generation Doubao phone has increased from 30k units previously to several hundred thousand units. “A phone can’t stay only in the technical experiment stage forever; in the end, it still has to be sold.” (LatePost)
