BlockBeats, July 18 — Dutch ASML Holding will distribute a one-time €20k (about $22,862) bonus to global employees. Driven by AI demand pushing sales to new highs, the company has joined a growing number of chip businesses that are sharing performance windfalls with employees.

The company will grant stock awards to global employees on January 1, 2027, provided that employees remain employed throughout the vesting period; the awards will be fully vested in early 2030. ASML’s move comes as a global AI-building boom drives a surge in demand for its products.

Previously, chip manufacturers including Samsung Electronics and SK hynix have already paid bonuses to employees. As AI infrastructure investment brings in huge returns, more of the biggest beneficiaries are facing pressure to share more profits with employees. TSMC also pledged in May this year that the profit-sharing average for employees this year would increase by more than 30%.
