The new-generation Doubao phone has been stocked with hundreds of thousands of units, and AI won’t have to push hard to take on the leading apps anymore.
BlockBeats news, July 17: the new-generation Doubao phone has adjusted its cooperation approach with major super-apps such as Alibaba and Tencent. It will not read the screen after user authorization; it will simulate clicks and operate apps like a human (so-called GUI technology). Only if these apps themselves provide MCP services—exposing some data and allowing control—can the Doubao phone connect to MCP.
A person close to the Doubao phone said the new-generation Doubao phone’s stock preparation has increased from 30k units previously to several hundred thousand units. “A phone can’t stay in a technical experiment phase forever; ultimately, it still has to be sold.” (LatePost)
