I just crossed a bridge, and then kept staring at that “waiting for confirmation,” watching the loading circle spin for a few minutes. Honestly, every time I use a cross-chain bridge, it feels like gambling—multisigs, oracles, and if any step goes wrong, the money is basically hanging in the balance. My friend said I’m too timid, and I told him he doesn’t understand the pain of getting educated the hard way.

Recently, during the airdrop season, the anti-sybil efforts have been so intense they feel like spycraft. The task platforms’ points-based system is so aggressively competitive that it’s basically a frenzy, and the airdrop-hunting crowd watches their progress every day like clocking in for work. Honestly, the feeling of treating these points as wages isn’t as comforting as simply waiting for on-chain confirmation. Anyway, my current rule is: if I can avoid using a bridge, I won’t; if I have to go through one, I’ll build in enough buffer in advance—don’t expect it to be done in just a few minutes.
