Difference between I-FOMO and Social FOMO. Social FOMO is a classic term used to describe the fear that people have about missing an enriching experience their friends may be having while using social media sites. With Decentralized Finance, Social FOMO has been modified to become I-FOMO (Investment FOMO).

Whereas social FOMO is all about the experience, I-FOMO is solely about the fear of not participating in the investment of a trendy crypto asset and feeling like one is missing out on significant monetary profits.

Looking forward to your new book! If you break down and explain these FOMO behaviors in Web3 in depth, it should help a lot of beginners avoid blindly chasing higher prices, and also help cure my investment anxiety.

This distinction is too incisive: Social FOMO is the fear of missing out on the experience, while I-FOMO is the fear of missing out on getting rich overnight. At its core, it’s all human nature at work.

Investment anxiety definitely burns more money than social anxiety, but sometimes watching others make money while you feel like you’re losing can be even more unbearable. Once this book comes out, it will likely help a lot of people see themselves more clearly.
