Just saw an on-chain transaction where the Gas fees were ridiculously high, and they still managed to cut the line by jumping ahead. To be honest, I’m a little impressed, and also a little jealous— not because I’m being sour, but because it feels like the world isn’t fair. In real life you have to queue, and on-chain you also have to queue, but some people can spend a bit of money to “buy the right to cut in line,” while small retail users can only keep waiting. Tell me, does this count as another kind of monopoly? Anyway, for someone as clumsy as me, I’ll just keep feeding the fire slowly—not looking for a sudden burst of flames, just hoping I won’t get stepped on. Lately I heard that some public chain is going to upgrade, and everyone’s speculating whether the ecosystem might run away. But really, it’s the fairness of on-chain ordering that’s the thing we should be worried about. Forget it, that’s where I’m at—I don’t really know what to do. In the meantime, I’ll use my position as kindling and burn it slowly.
