🇮🇳 India is entering a new space era

Skyroot Aerospace is set to launch Vikram-1, India's first privately built orbital rocket, on July 18 from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh.
Here's what makes it special:
• It can carry up to 350 kg of small satellites into Low Earth Orbit.
• The mission includes payloads from India and Germany, along with Skyroot's own satellite, making it an international launch.
• The launch will use ISRO's launch facilities, with support from IN-SPACe, the agency that helps private space companies operate in India.
• Skyroot has raised over $150 million and is now valued at more than $1.1 billion, becoming India's first space-tech unicorn.
If the mission succeeds, it will be a major milestone for India's private space industry and open the door for more commercial satellite launches.
