Truth Social under Trump Media launches a paid API service, with institutional clients receiving low-latency access first

On Thursday, Truth Social, a subsidiary of Trump Media (TMTG), announced the launch of a paid service called “Truth API,” aimed at providing Wall Street institutions with low-latency data feeds from the Truth Social platform, including real-time tweets from influential accounts such as Trump.

The service is scheduled to open to institutional clients on August 1 this year. It mainly targets high-frequency trading firms and algorithmic trading companies, aiming to provide professional institutions with low-latency, machine-readable data feed services for whom data speed requirements are extremely high.

TMTG interim CEO Kevin McGurn noted that the market has already shown a sharp response to tweets on the Truth Social platform, and the resulting dynamic content has demonstrated significant market influence and value.

Based on this, the API interface service launched by Truth Social will directly provide authorized, real-time, high-value tweet data feeds—this is also the key rationale behind the platform’s decision to roll out the paid “Truth API” service.

McGurn said the service meets the needs of financial institutions to quickly obtain market-sensitive information, creating a new revenue stream for the company. By converting influential content from the platform into monetizable business assets, it strengthens the company’s profitability and market competitiveness.

Earlier, a tweet by Trump about the U.S.-Iran conflict triggered market volatility. In addition to Trump himself, other important accounts on the Truth Social platform include Little Donald Trump, Eric Trump, and FBI Director Kash Patel—whose remarks may also move market nerves.

Regarding how data is obtained, McGurn emphasized that previously some companies tried to obtain Truth Social data through scraping methods, which violates the platform’s service terms. He warned that for such non-cooperative companies, the company will “create friction” to protect its data rights and interests.

In summary, this move not only strengthens the timeliness and authority of the platform’s content ecosystem, but also aligns with the company’s model of high-profit, sustainable recurring income, accelerating its core strategy of monetizing proprietary assets.

It can be expected that, as Truth API sees broader adoption in the future, Truth Social may be poised to explore a new development path in the converging space of digital content and business monetization.
