A woman in Canada was scrolling through short videos when she suddenly saw Canada’s Prime Minister Carney recommending cryptocurrencies.
She believed the fake video, and ended up being scammed out of about 400k RMB...
The fake prime minister in the video sincerely said they would help Canadians get rich, but the woman didn’t notice it was a deepfake and directly invested 13k CAD.
