I went to the Summer Palace yesterday. The tickets were 2,000 rubles for the Lower Garden gate, 2,700 rubles for the Great Palace, 1,200 rubles for the Great Waterfall cave, 1,000 rubles for the Catherine Regiment, and 600 rubles for the Royal Yacht. The boat ticket back to the city was 1,900 rubles, and a taxi ride was 2,000 rubles. After totaling it up, the average cost per person came to 1,000 yuan RMB. Everywhere around the world hasn’t stopped people from going, and this is the most outrageous “matched scenery” I’ve ever seen at a tourist attraction… You can tell Russia is short on cash from the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, but you can also see that 85% of Russia’s tourist attractions have really ugly manners. The land is great, but the people aren’t.

As for “the people aren’t,” I did manage to photograph a Russian woman: she’s 185+ cm tall, has a supermodel build, and she looks really great. And the person in the background wearing a white outfit with black short pants is her mom, hahaha. So yeah—if you’re going to marry a Russian woman, do it sooner.
