Last week, the victim’s case affected things, and some people spread rumors in large volumes saying Gate couldn’t process normal withdrawals, causing many users who didn’t know the truth to withdraw crazily, so Gate kept showing a state of net outflows.

At the time, I wrote a post called “A blessing in disguise—who knows it might not be a blessing after all.”
Back then, users made huge withdrawals in a short period of time, and the platform didn’t experience any trouble, which showed that the reserves the platform had been maintaining are very effective and reliable.
As the victim still hasn’t reported to the police and hasn’t produced any new evidence, many users who previously supported the victim’s rights protection gradually saw the issues with the victim and started to view the matter rationally.
This week, for the exchange landscape as of the previous Friday, most were in net outflow, and only Gate was in net inflow.
In this week’s Gate 7-day period, net inflows were +$39.9M.
At the time, everyone was led by certain people to chant slogans—when the market “votes with its feet,” Gate has been in net outflows, and Gate is going to run.
That boomerang has come back: “the market votes with its feet”—Gate is in net inflows, and Gate has no problem.
This week, I also analyzed multiple pieces of content from the victim and kept sharing my rational analysis with everyone. But some people came in right away with insults toward my family, and a few friends in the community advised me not to write anymore—it’s not worth the effort and doesn’t pay off.
I said: when this matter is finally clarified, those who cursed me will look back and realize that the influencers I cursed back then also seemed to have said things that were somewhat reasonable, and that I shouldn’t have just gone straight to insulting people. How much sense of accomplishment that would give me.
A blessing in disguise—who knows it might not be a blessing after all.
