BlockBeats news, July 17: Base chain meme token Brain (Coinbase Man) briefly saw its market cap touch $30 million, setting a new all-time high. The market cap has since fallen to about $20.14 million, with a 24-hour increase of more than 3,800% and 24-hour trading volume of about $29.5 million.

Brain uses the native B20 token standard introduced through the Beryl upgrade on the Base chain. The token name is taken from Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong. The main reason for rising market attention is that Brian Armstrong recently changed his X avatar; the new avatar closely matches the Brain token icon, triggering community associations and driving trading activity to surge rapidly.

At present, the number of Brain token-holding addresses is about 8,850, with the Top 10 holdings accounting for about 12.68%, and liquidity of about $568,000.

BlockBeats reminds that meme coin prices experience significant volatility, relying mainly on market sentiment, community hype, and narrative-driven factors, and lacking stable fundamental support. Investors should be aware of risks.
