The U.S. International Trade Commission launches a Section 337 investigation; Nvidia drops by more than 2%

Jinse Finance reported that on July 16, Nvidia fell by more than 2%, while Broadcom and Super Micro Computer fell by nearly 4%. On the news front, on July 15, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) decided to initiate a Section 337 investigation into certain dynamic random access memory (DRAM) devices and their downstream products and components, involving companies including Samsung Electronics, Google, Nvidia, Super Micro Computer, and Broadcom. On June 16, Netlist, Inc. of Irvine, California filed a petition with the U.S. ITC for a Section 337 case, alleging that the product violates U.S. Section 337 with respect to exports to the U.S., importation into the U.S., and sales in the U.S. (infringing U.S. registered patent numbers 12,646,537 and 12,650,937), and requesting the U.S. ITC to issue a limited exclusion order and a prohibition order.
