Abstract generation in progress

According to Beating monitoring, 1Password and Anthropic have launched 1Password for Claude. When Claude books tickets in the browser, checks orders, or manages accounts, it can use the login information saved by the user. Passwords and one-time verification codes will not be entered into the model context, memory, or Anthropic systems.

After Claude initiates a login, 1Password will display the account(s) to be used. Users approve via Touch ID or similar methods, and then the credentials are filled directly into the webpage; authorization is limited to the current task. When an Agent takes over the browser, 1Password will also automatically lock other projects that have not been authorized.

The feature is live on Mac, covering 1Password personal, family, and business plans. Users must install both the desktop apps and a browser extension for each. In the initial phase, it only supports usernames, passwords, and one-time verification codes; passkeys, payment cards, and identity information are not yet supported.
