Abstract generation in progress

According to Beating Monitoring, Zhou Xinyu, co-founder of Moon of the Dark and head of the algorithm team, said that Kimi currently has no plans to develop a video generation model. At this stage, the team is more focused on improving the model’s intelligence upper limit.

He believes that while video generation is practical, from both theoretical and real-world effectiveness perspectives, it does not meaningfully help enhance model intelligence.

Kimi K3 was just released. The key capabilities listed by the official still focus on software engineering, knowledge work, deep reasoning, and image understanding. Kimi’s multimodal roadmap is currently more oriented toward understanding and reasoning rather than generating videos.
