The U.S. military says it intercepted multiple ships attempting to break through Iran’s blockade

Golden Finance News reported that on July 17, local time, the U.S. Central Command said that as of now the U.S. has forced three merchant ships attempting to breach the blockade to change course, while one ship that did not comply lost its ability to operate. The U.S. said the Strait of Hormuz and surrounding waters still remain freely open, except for ships attempting to violate the U.S. blockade of Iran. On July 14, local time, the U.S. Central Command said that the U.S. had restored the maritime blockade against ships entering and leaving Iranian ports and coastal areas at 4:00 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time that day (11:30 p.m. Tehran time on July 14).
