I’m pretty satisfied with this short position today—not because it dumped hard, but because the process of $LINK weakening from the high point was very clear and gave enough confirmation.

I entered watching 9.750. After the pullback failed here, the market/price action started to weaken continuously, and the key levels were pushed down lower and lower. A lot of people are still waiting for one strong bullish candle to save the day, but the truth is that the rhythm has changed. The spot that used to be able to pull back is clearly no longer able to pull it back this time.

Now the price is at 8.447, and the profit is +948.98%. The room in the market has been released. What traders fear most is when the structure is already broken, yet they still use hope to keep holding on. A short can take this move precisely because it wasn’t scared out by a short-term pullback.

There’s no need to get excited right now. Once the profit is out, think first about how to protect it. If your position size is large, you can take profit on most of it first; keep the remaining small position and follow protective levels so you don’t let the gains you earned get erased by back-and-forth chop. If you didn’t catch it, don’t rush—don’t chase shorts. Wait for the next time at a more comfortable level.
