Golden Finance reported that on July 16, Reuters said that three sources revealed that Iran has asked Yemen’s Houthi forces to get ready to close the Strait of Hormuz if the United States attacks Iran’s power infrastructure, which would pose a new major threat to global energy supply. It is understood that this idea has been discussed within Iran’s leadership and that the information has been passed on to Iran’s Houthi allies. The sources said the Houthi forces have recently been informed of Tehran’s request. The sources did not provide any further details on how this request was conveyed, nor did they say whether it was raised after Trump threatened on Tuesday to attack Iran’s power infrastructure.
