Golden Finance News reported that on July 17, Apple filed a lawsuit earlier, accusing OpenAI employees of stealing its trade secrets. Subsequently, OpenAI Chairman Bret Taylor denied that the company was trying to obtain proprietary information from a competitor. “We have no interest in other companies’ trade secrets—absolutely none,” Taylor said in an interview with CNBC, adding that the investigation is ongoing and he cannot comment further. However, he did promote OpenAI’s efforts to develop custom AI hardware. “Our focus on hardware is very straightforward: we really just want to accomplish our mission, which is to ensure that general artificial intelligence benefits humanity,” Taylor said. “I think it’s important to explore what forms the hardware for this kind of intelligence might take.”
