Keyrock completes acquisition of BlockFills’ institutional trading and brokerage business

Golden Finance News, on July 17, crypto infrastructure and capital markets company Keyrock has completed its acquisition of BlockFills’ institutional trading and brokerage business. The deal brings Keyrock BlockFills’ trading technology, institutional client relationships, and a team of experienced derivatives traders.
The announcement states that the acquisition also expands Keyrock’s regulatory footprint, allowing it to have a CIMA-registered entity in the Cayman Islands and plans to obtain FCA authorization in the UK. BlockFills’ announcement did not disclose the acquisition price. Based on prior court filings and reports, Keyrock was selected in BlockFills’ bankruptcy reorganization process at a price of $3.25 million. Headquartered in Chicago, BlockFills filed for bankruptcy protection after suffering significant losses in early 2026 due to the crypto market crash in February.
