This short position finally paid off. $ICP was pushed down from the highs, and the market feedback was very direct.

This time I wasn’t watching for a single bearish candle, but rather what happened after price repeatedly failed to break upward and then the buy pressure started to noticeably weaken. I opened the short around 3.027; what really got my attention was that every rebound was pushed back down. That already looked off.

Now the price is at 2.151, with unrealized profit running to +1393.66%, and the market’s room has been released pretty decisively. A lot of people were still waiting for a breakout, but the main force first disrupted the sentiment of the chasing longs, and then, in the same motion, pushed the price down.

The most comfortable part of this kind of trade isn’t chasing at the key level—it’s whether you’re willing to execute when the market is under pressure at the high. Once the profit is realized, I’ll do partial profit-taking first with 80%, then keep the remaining 20% with protective levels and continue to look for further extension. Don’t let the gains get eaten back by a sudden rebound.

If you didn’t get on board, don’t rush—if the rebound entry doesn’t feel good, don’t chase; wait for the next opportunity.
