According to FinanceFeeds, Dubai trading platform Quote Trade announced the completion of a $4 million funding round, aiming to expand its AI-native dark pool DEX platform. The platform is positioned as an institutional-grade execution tool, allowing users to trade large orders through a private execution layer, preventing trading intent from being exposed too early on the public order book, while settlement is completed with stablecoins. From the outset of its design, the platform architecture takes into account human traders, quantitative trading robots, and AI agents, enabling the above participants to interact via the same API interface. The funding will mainly be used for infrastructure buildout, adding supported blockchain networks and asset types, strengthening liquidity partner relationships, and recruiting technical teams.

The “Quote Trade” AI-native dark pool concept is quite new. By putting human traders, robots, and AI agents into the same API interface, it effectively enables fair algorithmic competition. However, liquidity depth in dark pools has always been the biggest challenge—will 4 million be enough to expand across multiple chains and attract market makers? Stay tuned.

AI dark pools are kind of interesting—institutional players finally have some private space.

An institutional-grade execution tool that uses stablecoins for settlement—does that mean it is mainly aimed at crypto-native institutions? Traditional big institutions may still prefer fiat on- and off-ramps.

Competition in the dark-pool DEX track is intense. Quote Trade’s core selling points are AI-native capabilities and a private execution layer. But when AI agents and quant trading robots compete in the same arena, will it lead to problems similar to MEV? Also, while Dubai’s regulatory environment is friendly, compliance costs aren’t low either. The $4 million funding looks more like a seed round, and more capital will still be needed to further validate the business.

Stablecoin settlement does, in fact, save the hassle of dealing with fiat deposits and withdrawals.
